WebTrax are pioneers in the creation of advanced, database driven websites and search engines. Since 1995 we have been creating complex websites which push the technical envelope to its limits.
In 1996, WebTrax launched one of the most advanced Web services on the Net, then or now, the ENTA admission system for international students.
The ENTA system featured a high level of integration between a secure web server, database engine and email software. This enabled functions such as email 'prompts' to tell applicants when to log back into the system, eliminating one of the major problems facing users of web sites today, ie, how to know when to re-visit a site.
Since then WebTrax has developed many more complex websites, ranging from database driven Event calendars through to Job Matching services.
Our favourite is the Culture and Recreation Portal, at CultureAndRecreation.gov.au. One of the Federal Government's major portals, it indexes over 3,500 cultural and recreation websites around Australia, comprising well over two million pages of information. WebTrax developed the unique search engine/database solution for the portal allowing users to combine the advantages of a directory based listing service (like Yahoo) with those of a full text search engine (like Google).
WebTrax also developed an advanced portal for Australian federal public servants, FedInfo, at FedInfo.gov.au which also incorporates many of the features we have pioneered over the years.
